At a very young age my Mom (who I consider to be one of the greatest cooks) trained me to prepare our family dinners.  As a Puerto Rican, cultural dishes such as rice and beans and meat were daily staples on our dinner table.  Of course, as I seasoned with age my cuisine became really tasty and almost as good as Mom's (I don't want to take the title away from a great woman!).  My friends, collegues and customers have raved about my cooking so what better way to live life than by offering my dishes for your enjoyment.
As an entreprenuer it is important to have passion in anything one wishes to undergo.  That is true for myself as I enjoy cooking and put my heart and soul into every dish.  If it doesn't pass my quality test, it does not go out. That is why, as I have partaken in this endeavor, I have limited my selections to 2 a day/6 days a week.
During my former marriage, I was fortunate to experience Middle Eastern cuisine, as the ex-wife of an Egytian cook. Together we created a food manufacturing company which today distributes its falafel entree to Trader Joe's grocery chain throughout Massachusetts.  This experience allowed me to learn techniques of the Arabic culture and produce my version of this Middle Eastern sampler, "falafel plate".
As a multi-cultural neighborhood, I am happy to reach out to residents in my community, many of who know me by my involvement with neighborhood events such as neighborhood block parties, civic and business associations.  Those of you who know me can attest to my abilities as a cook and organizer.  It is these two qualities that have given me the confidence to under this venture and move forward as your "Neighborhood Chef".

How NC works

this site.  If you are interested in ordering
any dish(es):
  • Call me at 617-877-8819  or email your selections on Sunday [this will ensure that I purchase the freshest ingredients for your home-cooked meal(s)].
  • Inform NC of pickup time.  Delivery is available at cost of $4. Seniors ($2)
  • Pick up orders at 43 Mercier Avenue (intersects Dorchester Aveneu after Ashmont Station) between 5-7 PM
  • At present NC is working on establishing a Paypal account to offer credit card purchases.  Currently we accept cash only.
